Service
At Meddays we are at your side:
- We manage all the necessary administrative procedures to legalize your tourist rental property.
- We take care of managing the maintenance and conditioning of your property.
- We manage the collection of the “Tourist Tax” for you.
Security
- Unless expressly authorized, we do not accept groups of young people as tenants.
- We promptly inform the police of the tenants who are staying here, in accordance with the regulations of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
- All our guests pay a deposit as a guarantee for any accidental damage caused during their stay.
- We thoroughly inspect the property after each occupancy.
Legality
The tourist rental business has not traditionally been covered by a specific legal framework. In Catalonia, this activity is currently regulated by Decree 159/2012 of the Generalitat, even so, there are still individuals and agencies that do not comply with all the legal requirements. Lately, the Generalitat has been increasing inspections and controls on this business. Penalties for non-compliance can reach €90,000 for owners and/or managers.
At Meddays we are committed to complying with current legislation. The agency is managed by a Real Estate Agent (AICAT 6079), according to Decree 12/2010 of the Generalitat and we are part of the “Associació d’Apartaments Turístics de la Costa Daurada” (member AT 193).
